This video shows a bit of the destruction caused by super typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan along the road leading out to the airport in Tacloban. I was sitting on the top of a firetruck at the time with a team of firefighters. It was their job to go out and collect bodies. The team I was with that day collected 72 bodies. At the end of the video, you get a view to the side of a residential area that was completely wiped out by the typhoon and storm surge. That entire field once consisted of a tight cluster of houses. All of them were destroyed.
